There once was a man who planted a seed
By a river that ran blue with his tears
He said here grows the land where the children play freely
By the moss covered mountains, in a ruby red sky

Then he walked and he walked and deep in the forest
He came to a man dancing alone
He had bright yellow eyes and he smiled like a child
He said open this door and you'll find the truth

So he opened the door, but all' was inside it
Was an old wooden puppet, holding a sword

Then he travalled down south and deep in the desert
He came to a girl sitting under a rock
She had birds in her hair and bats on her shoulders
She had jewels round her throat, reaching the floor

She said stay in the sky, and the sun it might burn you
So take a night swim in your ancestors pool

For many a year he floated so softly
Until his hair grew so long it reached the shore
Deep in the water he found oh sweet silence
The heat from the sun, washed clean his fears
